My name is Ariane Angelica Specchia and I received a Master’s degree in Photography (2021) from the University Institute of Architecture of Venice (IUAV). The course evolved around a series of workshops held in different locations around Italy. From basics on how to use digital cameras with lighting to using Adobe programs such as Photoshop, InDesign and Bridge, I’m most proud of learning what to photograph, what to focus on in my work. I also learned about how to exhibit art work, from street exhibitions to displaying and laying out photographs in books,
I also have a Bachelor’s degree in Statistics (2018), having graduated from the University of Bologna.
what I do
I take pictures of what interests me most: the environment and its protection. It’s quickly changing and the situation is slipping from our hands. I photograph what I hope to still see one day and/or what I hope not to find around anymore.
